In a recent development in the Gaza Strip, IDF troops have intensified their combat operations, targeting Hamas activities in Khan Yunis and Zaytun.

The IDF reported that eight significant targets were struck in response to rocket fire towards Ashkelon. Ground troops in western Khan Yunis conducted targeted raids, uncovering weapons and military equipment. Additionally, five Hamas militants were neutralized in a precise missile strike on a vehicle, while fighter jets eliminated militants within military compounds.

Paratroopers and troops from the Givati Brigade also contributed to the operation, utilizing sniper fire and directing airstrikes on identified positions. In a strategic move, troops in the 98th Division directed an airstrike on militants preparing to ambush, resulting in secondary explosions indicative of additional weaponry.

Meanwhile, in the central Gaza Strip, ongoing operations in Zaytun led to the elimination of a Hamas cell by an IDF helicopter.
