Chinese teacher suspended after violent attack on students over homework struggles
Shocking footage captured the moment a female teacher in Xiangtan, Hunan province, launched a brutal attack on two students after they struggled with their assignments.
The video, filmed by a colleague in the office, shows the teacher berating and physically assaulting the students, a boy and a girl, for their poor performance.
She can be heard hurling insults like "Are you even worthy of studying?" and "Go die!" while repeatedly slapping and pulling their hair, violently striking their faces and heads.
She callously throws their notebooks aside, demonstrating a disturbing lack of control as she screams hysterically throughout the ordeal, appearing visibly agitated and unstable.
In response to the distressing incident, the Xiangxiang Education Bureau issued a statement on February 28th, announcing the immediate suspension of the teacher pending investigation and ensuring psychological counselling for the affected students.
The Bureau vowed to take strict disciplinary action against the teacher in accordance with regulations, while also committing to enhancing professional ethics and conduct standards among educators to prevent such egregious behaviour from happening.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
