A cool video has emerged from South Africa of a wild African elephant walking casually past a restaurant full of people.

In the video, which was filmed earlier this week at Shepherds Tree Game Lodge, astonished diners watch as the bull elephant strolls down for a drink at a watering hole, just metres from the restaurant terrace.

"We were sitting eating lunch...when we noticed other people looking out towards the fence, we could hear cracking sounds - branches breaking etc," the filmer wrote online.

"I was lucky enough to witness a bull elephant coming down to the watering hole to drink and cool off," he added.

The Shepherds Tree Game Lodge is situated in the North West Province of South Africa close to Sun City

I decided to get up and see what the fuss was about taking my camera with me, was lucky enough to witness a bull elephant coming down to the watering hole to drink and cool off.
The Shepherds Tree Game Lodge is situated in the North West Province of South Africa close to Sun City and is approximately 2.5 hours drive from Johannesburg.
