Pilots conduct commemorative flight in honour of first martyrs of Turkish aviation
This is the moving moment pilots carry out a commemorative flight in honor of the 110th anniversary of the death of two of the first pilots in Turkish aviation history who died in a tragic plane crash.
Captain Fethi Bey and Lieutenant Sadik Bey, who set out for the Istanbul-Cairo expedition, were killed when their planes crashed near Lake Tiberias on February 27, 1914.
The commemorative flight was carried out by the Naval Patrol Aircraft of the Naval Forces Command along the route used by Fethi Bey 110 years ago, between Istanbul and Hatay.
