"Our challenge now is with the curriculum reforms on skills of the changing world in the future, that's where we're beginning to experience challenges in robotics, coding, motor mechanics, engineering, and even agriculture."
SOUNDBITE (English): STEFANIA GIANNINI, Assistant Director-General for education, UNESCO
"Young generation have to be provided with skills they need in society and really get the right jobs. That means the matching between training and the market must be part of the agenda. Greening and digital transitions are the two main challenges and opportunities that governments have for development, especially also in the global South. So we have to focus our education systems also on this part of change needed and another important point is technology. I don't see any future of education without technology. I don't see a screen replacing the teacher in the classroom. But technology must be integrated in education systems."
