Film crew spotted filming a mine car chase scene near Wirksworth in Derbyshire. Locals took to social media to say that Tom Cruise was in their sleepy village filming for Part 2 of the Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning. It was hard to know if the A list celebrity was on set filming or what exactly was being filmed, but what is known is film crew were inside a disused mine filming a car chase/crash scene.
Vehicles for filming were spotted parked outside the mine with signs directing other set vehicles to a nearby production base.
This is just one more hollywood blockbuster to add to the villages list as the village was home to filming for Disney's Andor not so long ago.
