Rihanna performs at wedding for billionaire family in India
Footage shows pop star Rihanna dancing with the crowd and performing at a wedding party for a billionaire family in India on Saturday night.
The singer was reportedly paid 6.3 million USD for the show in Gujarat organised by tycoon Mukesh Ambani for his son Anant, who is marrying Radhika Merchant in Mumbai in July.
Guests said Rihanna wore a body-hugging green and pink ensemble. Bollywood celebrities in attendance included Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Amir Khan and Deepika Padukone.
During her performance, Rihanna engaged with the audience, asking about their beliefs in love and expressing her gratitude to the Ambani family for inviting her to be a part of their special celebration.
'Thanks to the Ambani family I'm here tonight in honour of Anant and Radhika. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you the best. Congratulations,' the star said.
Wealthy families in India often throw lavish parties in the weeks and months leading up to a wedding.
The festivities are reportedly set to cost more than 150 million USD, with catering alone being billed at around 25 million USD.
