Container truck overturns and flattens parked car in Hong Kong
This is the shocking moment a container truck overturned and flattened a parked car in Hong Kong.
The vehicle was travelling to a shipping yard when it turned into the Man Kam To Road in the Fanling District of the New Territories on February 28.
However, it lost balance on the curve and toppled onto the white sedan parked on the side of the road, crushing the car and shattering the windows.
Police said they were notified by the sedan driver about the accident at 10:38 am local time.
The truck driver, 43, was at the scene uninjured and did not need to be hospitalised.
While the car driver surnamed Cheng, 51, was also unharmed as he was away when it was crushed.
Local media reported both parties have reached a settlement to cover the costs of the car, which has been written off following the crash.
Police said they have classified the case as a 'traffic accident with no injuries'.
Hong Kong sits on the southern border of China. It was developed by the British from 1841 until 1997 when Communist rulers on the Chinese began reclaiming the territory.
