A rescue helicopter crashed in central China, injuring 2.

The terrifying dashcam video was filmed in Xinmi County in Henan Province on March 3.

According to local authorities, there were two individuals on board at the time of the accident, including a 12-year-old girl.

One rescuer who was on the scene recounted how they noticed something was amiss with the aircraft, which veered off course and crashed into a small grove of trees. "Some villagers helped lift the young girl out of the cockpit, while the pilot lay about two to three metres away from the helicopter," they said.

Another rescuer described how the helicopter descended from several metres in the air, landing on tree branches before finally touching down, with the pilot sustaining facial injuries and bleeding.

Both occupants of the helicopter were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment, while investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
