Several vehicles shot off the road when they bizarrely skidded uphill due to rain and slippery road conditions.

CCTV footage captured the incident where at least three vehicles dangerously skidded in under three hours at the entrance of a repair shop in Chenzhou, in Hunan, China, on February 29.

One of them, a grey seven-seater, was among the first to veer off the wet road and collided with a large lorry parked outside the shop.

It was strangely followed by a small lorry which followed nearly the same trajectory, but its driver managed to break before hitting the parked vehicle.

Not long after that, a white van also fell victim to the slippery conditions that had vehicles continuously sliding uphill.

A government worker told local media that the accidents were due to the treacherous weather.

He said: 'There is no traction due to excess oil on the surface, the road surface is too slippery from the rain.'
