A terrified woman called police to her home in panic after she caught a ghost-like shadow moving across her living room at night on surveillance video.

Eerie CCTV footage shows the shadowy figure of a man crossing into the woman's kitchen in Chongqing, China, at 10:17 pm on February 29.

A loud alarm triggered by the camera movement forced the female owner, not named, out of bed as she was supposedly about to sleep.

Upon checking, she discovered the dark figure floating by, scaring her and prompting her to call the police. However, officers found no sign of any intruders in the home.

After the inspection, the woman was left even more confused and frightened than before. She said she has still been unable to find an explanation for the creepy shadows.
