STORYLINE:
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi met on Tuesday with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is on an official visit to Cairo, to discuss trade and cooperation in various sectors.
The two leaders held talks on boosting bilateral trade and expanding cooperation in areas such as information technology, artificial intelligence, food and pharmaceuticals, Sisi's office said in a statement.
Sisi also said Egypt was ready to share its experience in infrastructure, construction, transportation and energy with Armenia, the statement added.
The meeting was followed by a signing ceremony of several memorandums of understanding on environmental protection, economic cooperation and agricultural cooperation for 2024-2026, the statement said.
