In Kunming, southern China, Mr. Wang Maolin has gained popularity for taming a group of wild squirrels into pets. With a simple call of "Come here, little ones!" these once timid creatures flock to him, exhibiting a remarkable level of trust and docility. The wild squirrels have learned to recognize Mr. Wang's voice, responding promptly to his summons.

According to Mr. Wang, he has been feeding these squirrels for over a decade. During his daily park visits, he carries biscuits and other snacks in his bag to supplement their diet. Initially, the squirrels were wary of approaching him, but once they dared to come closer, they couldn't resist indulging in the treats. Over time, Mr. Wang established a routine of feeding them, leading to a bond of trust and friendship between them.

Through his consistent acts of kindness, the squirrels have grown increasingly fond of him. Mr. Wang can now gently stroke their backs, and the squirrels visibly enjoy the affection. This heartwarming relationship between the elderly man and the squirrels has captivated many. Mr. Wang has pledged to continue caring for these little creatures for as long as he lives.

The video was filmed on Feb 27 and provided with permission from local media.
