Desperate Search Intensifies for Missing Javier Marquez in Logrono, Spain
This footage was filmed and produced 6 March 2024.

The Special Underwater Activities Group (GEAS) of the Civil Guard has intensified the search efforts for Javier Marquez, the 20-year-old who went missing during the early hours of last Saturday in Logrono.
The GEAS divers, based in Logrono, have been maintaining their search area for the fifth consecutive day, starting from the Varea dam on the east border of the Rioja capital, towards Zaragoza through the Ebro river, supported by ground patrols and the Pegaso helicopter and drones from the armed forces.
The Civil Guard has reported to NueveCuatroUno the difficulties posed by the strong current of the Ebro on Wednesday, although it is lower than in previous days (due to last week's rise in the river), raising the spirits of the specialists with hope of finding any trace of the young man.
Since early morning, the emergency response team has resumed search operations, while dozens of volunteers have gathered in the vicinity of the bullring with one goal in mind: "Don't give up the search."
Meanwhile, the National Police - combing the area in conjunction with the Local Police and Firefighters - are adding members of the Special Operations Group (GEO) on Wednesday, whose divers will make incursions into the Ebro river given the improved water levels in the river in the last few hours.
