Venezuelan Electoral Power announces presidential elections on 28 July in Caracas, Venezuela

Venezuela's presidential elections will be held on July 28, the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, announced on Tuesday.
At a press conference at the CNE headquarters in Caracas, Amoroso explained that the electoral timetable for the 2024 elections was approved following a proposal by the National Electoral Board, the body in charge of all acts related to electoral processes.
He specified that the call for the electoral process begins on 5 March and the special day of electoral registration is scheduled from 18 March to 16 April, the latter being the cut-off date for the aforementioned registration.
