This is the dramatic moment a storm blew a shop's metal awning onto a woman.

The incident unfolded during heavy winds lashing Phitsanulok, northern Thailand, on March 6.

CCTV footage shows the woman standing in front of the booth when the powerful gust suddenly blew, causing the metal cover to fall on her.

Her co-worker rushed to help her while the wind continued battering the shop as they scrambled to close the shutter and protect their products.

Neither of them were hurt in the incident, which came as officials from the country's Meteorological Department warned that a high-pressure system from China would cause 'storms and gusty winds' across the north and northeast regions.

Temperatures have also reached 40 degrees Celsius due to the weather spell.
