A wild monkey launched a vicious attack on a young boy in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on March 10.

CCTV captured the moment the primate pounced on the boy and started attacking the kid's legs.

According to local reports, the monkey has been roaming the area for the past few days and has attacked other people. Wildlife officials have been urged to capture the primate.

Dramatic scene unfolded in Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh as a monkey attacked a minor boy on Saturday afternoon (10th March) . The monkey attack incident has triggered panic in the area .

The incident that took place under the jurisdiction of Gangoh police station was captured on cctv installed there at the shop . In the cctv footage , the monkey can be seen chasing a group of boys .

Soon after spotting the monkey , the terrified boys attempted to run away just when it caught hold of one of them . The boy fell down and again ran away but the monkey continued to chase him .

Even as the monkey continued to attack the boy , bystanders can be seen not intervening in panic . After the incident the locals urged the forest department officials to capture it .
