This is the heartwarming moment a concerned pet dog stopped chasing another dog when its owner fell to the ground.

Bottle, the energetic German Shepherd dog, was seen pursuing a stray dog while on a leash, causing its owner to fall in Hebei, China, on January 15.

CCTV footage shows the excited canine running after a dog when its owner tumbled to the ground.

Upon realising what happened to its owner, Bottle looked back and rushed towards her.

The owner said: 'He is quite obedient, but when he gets too excited about confronting his arch-nemesis from across the street, he tends to pull harder.'

The pooch did not receive punishment from its owner but was rewarded with a jerky treat upon returning home.
