Gruesome moment python regurgitates chicken
This is the gruesome moment a huge 10ft python regurgitated a housewife's chicken in Thailand.
The ravenous serpent slithered into a chicken coop and devoured the fowl in Saraburi province on March 9.
Resident Somwang Klaharn, 60, called animal rescuers when she found the sated beast sleeping inside the pen with its belly swollen. Fearing the python would eat another of her pets, she called the animal rescue team for help.
Footage shows the reptile ejecting the whole slime-covered chicken feet-first from its gut as it made a last-ditch effort to escape the snake wranglers.
Upon expelling its last meal, the python attempted to slither away but was quickly pinned down and sealed inside a sack.
Somwang, who raises the livestock at her home, said she was awoken by the birds clucking early in the morning.
She said: 'I went to investigate since the chickens were making such a fuss. I was startled when I discovered the python inside the coop. It was my first time seeing one in person, and it was massive too.'
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
