A total of 2,600 turtle eggs were successfully rescued on the beaches in this district last year which will then be incubated before being released back into the sea. All the turtle eggs were saved by three turtle egg collectors registered in the state or turtle rangers and the Glory Beach Resort Hotel who were given conditional permission to carry out the role of turtle conservation.

"Out of that number, 2,300 eggs were able to hatch and the number is quite high which is 90 percent hatching rate. We release these baby turtles and usually, when these turtles want to lay eggs, the turtles will return to the beach where they were released." Also present was the Chairman of the State Tourism, Arts and Culture Action Committee, Nicole Tan Lee Koon. Nicole Tan also completed the symbolic release of four turtles, two of which were turtles that were rescued from fishing nets. There are two species of sea turtles that land on the beaches of Port Dickson, the sea turtle and the sea turtle.
