In a statement released on the 8th of March morning, United Airlines confirmed that one of their Boeing 737 planes rolled off the runway at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

The incident occurred as the plane was making its way to the gate after landing at 8 a.m. on the 8th of March. The flight, which had departed from Memphis International Airport, was carrying 160 passengers and six crew members.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported among the passengers or crew. After the plane came to a stop on the grass, passengers were safely deplaned on the taxiway and transported to the terminal by bus.

Despite the incident, operations at the airport remained unaffected. Flights in and out of George Bush Intercontinental Airport continued as scheduled throughout the day.

At this time, the cause of the plane veering off the runway is still unknown. The Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation to determine what led to the mishap.
