In a joint operation with the Tax Agency - Customs Surveillance Service, authorities have seized 1.5 tons of hashish at the port of Malaga, in an action aimed at dismantling drug trafficking.

During the operation, three individuals allegedly linked to this illicit activity were arrested.

According to preliminary information, authorities had received alerts about possible drug trafficking activities at the port of Malaga. In response to these suspicions, a coordinated operation was carried out to inspect shipments and vessels in the port area.

During the inspection, 1.5 tons of hashish were discovered hidden in one of the shipments, leading to the arrest of three individuals who are presumed to be involved in this criminal activity. The street value of the seized hashish is estimated to be around $13.6 million. Authorities are continuing to investigate the case to determine the full scope of the operation and possible connections to drug trafficking networks at a national and international level.
