DUI Driver Crashes Into LAPD, Refuses to Comply in Los Angeles, CA, USA

An LAPD Central Division officer reported they had been involved in a traffic collision at the intersection of 9th and Flower streets.
The officers requested an ambulance for the two female passengers who had complaints of pain.
The driver became belligerent with officers and refused to exit the vehicle.
Officers deployed spike strips to prevent the driver from leaving.
The suspect eventually exited the vehicle and fell to the ground.
He was taken into custody for suspected DUI without further incident.
The two female passengers were evaluated at the scene by LAFD paramedics.
