Space Shuttle Endeavour Lifted Onto Fuel Tank in Exposition Park, LA, USA

The nation’s youngest space shuttle was heaved up toward the stars and onto its fuel tank and rocket boosters overnight in Downtown Los Angeles.
Space Shuttle Endeavour last flew outside Earth’s orbit in May 2011 but was lifted by crane to its mounting points inside the new vertical display area at the California Science Center.
The feat took several hours as crews worked to put the 172,000-pound spacecraft inside the under-construction Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center.
