In a heartbreaking turn of events, newly released police bodycam footage reveals the distressing moment a 16-year-old girl was burnt to death following a horrifying car crash in Los Angeles last month. Destiny Villanueva lost her life after a 14-year-old driver crashed a Toyota Camry while speeding away from police attempting a traffic stop.

The incident occurred just after midnight on February 20, as officers noticed the vehicle's headlights were out and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, due to rainy conditions, the officers decided not to pursue the vehicle. Shortly afterward, surveillance footage captured the Toyota Camry hitting a traffic pole at high speed and bursting into flames.

The officers immediately sprang into action, trying to rescue the girls trapped inside the car. Despite their heroic efforts to break the car's windows and airbag, they were only able to save two passengers, leaving Villanueva trapped in the backseat. The officers later found her body wedged under the driver's seat, where she was declared dead at the scene.

The driver and surviving passenger escaped with minor injuries, with police confirming that the driver did not display any signs of impairment.

The incident remains under investigation, with authorities yet to determine if the driver will face criminal charges for the crash. It is also uncertain whether the car was stolen or belonged to the underage driver's family.
