Hungry elephant reaches over to grab grass from zoo visitor
A hungry elephant reached over to grab grass from a zoo visitor.
Footage shows the animal extending his trunk outside the fence of the enclosure and taking the stalks being handed by a tourist in Chonburi province, Thailand.
He accepted food stalk by stalk at first until he grew impatient and grabbed the handful of grass from the man.
Thailand has around 4,000 elephants in captivity in zoos, sanctuaries, tourist resorts or private homes where they are hired out for religious events.
