An ingenious bottle-to-ring toss delighted visitors at a scenic area in central China.

The video was filmed in Nanyang City in Henan Province on March 4.

A stall holder with a knack for ring-tossing has become an internet sensation with his unique "exchange empty bottles for ring toss" idea.

Tourists eagerly toss discarded beverage bottles into a railing, exchanging three bottles for a chance at the ring toss. Each successful ring toss elicits cheers and applause, creating an atmosphere akin to a joyous celebration.

On social media platforms, netizens have showered praise on this eco-friendly and joyous scene, lauding the creative ring toss method for not only engaging tourists while contributing to environmental conservation but also effectively reducing plastic waste in the scenic area.

According to reports, the stallholder at the mountaintop goes by the name of Mr. Qiao, a villager from Dushan Village at the foot of the mountain.

Qiao has been running the ring toss stall for over 20 years. His original intention was to provide students playing on the mountain with both entertainment and an opportunity to contribute to environmental protection.

Qiao stated that initially, it was one bottle for one ring toss, but later he changed it to three bottles for one ring toss. Some tourists even carry dozens of bottles up the mountain to exchange for rings. He views the bottle-to-ring exchange as a public welfare activity, his modest contribution to environmental conservation.

Staff at the Dushan Scenic Area mentioned that Qiao is around 70 years old this year. He rents a wooden house on the mountain, engages in small business activities, and also runs the ring toss stall. His stall is located outside the backyard wall of the mountaintop television tower, visible along the staircase leading to the summit.

Qiao decides whether to set up his stall based on the flow of visitors. After collecting empty bottles, he sells them, and the park management does not interfere with his activities.

With his unique creativity and environmental consciousness, Qiao has become a delightful highlight of the Dushan Scenic Area, showcasing the dual charm of environmental conservation and happiness.
