Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Palmdale Station shot and wounded a suspect at a gas station Friday morning in Pearblossom. Deputies responded about 6:45 am to a call for service and the 13000 block of Pearblossom Highway just west of Longview Road, the sheriffs department said. The unidentified suspect was believed to be armed and possibly with a knife and was uncooperative before a deputy involved shooting occurred. The suspect was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Lt. Patricia Thomas spoke with media at the scene. The investigation is ongoing. No further details were released at this time.
