At 7:54 a.m. on March 13th, a suspected gas leak triggered an explosion at a fried chicken restaurant in Yanjiao, Sanhe City, Langfang, Hebei Province.

Several local residents captured the moment of the incident on their dashcams. In the footage, a building on the right side of the screen suddenly exploded with a loud bang. A massive fireball accompanied by thick smoke and debris spread in all directions, with people running out of nearby buildings and abandoning their vehicles.

Videos taken by eyewitnesses at the scene showed that some buildings collapsed, and the explosion caused a large fire. Vehicles damaged to varying degrees were parked on the road, and buildings adjacent to and across from the explosion site also suffered damage, with some windows and signs shattered.

Mr. Huai, the owner of a nearby shop, explained that the explosion occurred in a four-story building with a hotel on top, and the staircase collapsed after the explosion. Mr. Huai said that he was in his shop when he heard a loud bang, followed by the collapse of the roof of his shop. He and a customer quickly ran out, both unharmed. Mr. Huai said that when he ran out, he saw many damaged vehicles on the road. Subsequently, rescue personnel arrived at the scene to seal off and evacuate the area.

Following the incident, the Langfang fire department immediately dispatched 36 fire trucks and 154 personnel to the scene for disposal. At present, the fire has been effectively controlled, and rescue efforts are underway.

河北（China）三河市燕郊一炸鸡店爆炸 已致1死22伤
3月13日7时54分，河北廊坊三河市燕郊，一炸鸡店发生疑似燃气泄露引发的爆燃事故。
多位当地居民的行车记录仪拍下了事发瞬间，位于画面右侧的一幢建筑突然发生爆炸，伴随着一声巨响，一团巨大的火球夹杂着浓烟、瓦砾向四周扩散，随后有人从路旁建筑跑出，也有人弃车而逃。
目击市民拍摄的现场视频显示，有楼体发生了坍塌，爆炸引发了大火，不用程度受损的车辆停在路上，爆炸建筑旁边、对面的建筑也都出现不同程度受损，有的窗户、招牌都被震坏。
事发现场一商铺老板怀先生介绍，发生爆炸的是一幢四层建筑，上面有个招待所,爆炸后楼梯发生了坍塌。怀先生说，发生爆炸时他正在店里，突然听到一声巨响，紧接着他的店铺顶部就塌了下来，他和一名食客赶紧跑了出来，两人都没有受伤。怀先生说，他跑出去一看，路上很多车辆受损。此后，救援人员到达现场后对现场进行了封锁和疏散。
事故发生后，廊坊消防部门发布通报称：3月13日7时55分，廊坊市消防救援支队接到报警，三河市小张各庄学院大街与迎宾路交叉口附近一临街商铺发生爆炸起火，该支队立即调派36车154人赶赴现场处置，目前火势得到有效控制，救援工作正在紧张进行。
3月13日中午，三河市应急管理局也发布最新通报：2024年3月13日7时54分，三河市燕郊一炸鸡店发生疑似燃气泄露引发的爆燃事故，应急、消防、卫健等有关部门第一时间赶赴现场全力救援处置。截止目前，事故已造成1人死亡，22人受伤。
