A brave 70-year-old man was lowered into a 100-foot-deep well to rescue a cow in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.

Footage shows the elderly man named Deewan Singh Kansana being hauled out of the dry well by locals after he managed to tie a rope around the stranded bovine.

A few moments later, the cow was able to be hoisted to the surface.

Kansana was offered a monetary reward by police officers at the scene but he graciously refused.

In a daring incident, a 70-year-old man rescues a cow from a 100-feet dry well in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Dhuanram Ka Pura village in the Saray Chhola police station area of Morena district on March 11.

Visuals showed the old man getting pulled out from the dry well. In another visual, the cow tied to a rope was seen getting pulled up from the same well.

According to reports, the cow fell into a deep well. When the villagers came to know about this news, they informed the Saray Chhola police station. Crane driver Sudhir posted in the police line also informed Rudra Pratap Singh, head of Jai Bajrang Gau Seva Samiti. After receiving the information, Rudrapratap Singh and his team reached the village. While many people gathered around after the incident, no one was willing to take the risk of rescuing the cow from the deep well.

Surprisingly, the elderly Deewan Singh Kansana from the village showed courage and expressed his desire to go down the well himself. With the help of a rope, Deewan Singh descended into the well, tied the cow with the rope, and successfully rescued it. After this brave act, with the assistance of the rope, Deewan Singh climbed back out of the well. The courage and commendable actions of the elderly man are being praised by everyone.

Subsequently, the police officers present at the scene offered a monetary reward to Deewan Singh for his heroic act, which he graciously refused. After the rescue of the cow was taken out safely and sent to the cow shed.
