Teams from the Fire Brigade in Ascoli and San Benedetto del Tronto have been engaged in extinguishing a fire that broke out on the Raccordo Autostradale 11, "Ascoli Mare," on Tuesday afternoon. The incident involved a truck carrying food products.

The flames spread rapidly, igniting the surrounding vegetation just off the highway near the exit ramp to access the A14 highway. Firefighters have been working tirelessly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest it may have been due to a mechanical issue with the truck. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.

Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution in the area and to follow any detours or road closures in place while the firefighting operation is ongoing. Traffic delays are expected as a result of the incident.
