A guyed line fell onto high voltage lines from pole to pole causing a power outage Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Sharp Avenue. A second nearby report of wires down at 14665 MacNeil Street is possibly related. The LAFD responded and immediately closed pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the area due to power lines down in the roadway. Multiple homes could be seen in the surrounding area without power. LAFD requested the LADWP to the location. The LADWP was at scene working to repair the power lines as of the time of this report. Dash camera footage at the time of the incident shows the sky lighting up when the guyed wire fell potentially causing the outage.
