A car ploughed into shoppers at a busy market in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase III on Wednesday night, killing a 22-year-old woman and injuring at least six others.


The CCTV footage of the incident showed the high-speed car ramming people who were busy shopping. The impact was so strong that the victims were tossed in the air for a while and fell on the road. After ramming into the crowd, shoppers can be seen frantically fleeing the spot. One man rushes towards the car and tries to break open the window. As more people gather around the car, it reverses and speeds away.

According to the police, seven people, including five women, sustained injuries in the incident and were rushed to a hospital where they are receiving medical treatment. The driver of the car also sustained injuries in the incident and was admitted to a hospital for medical treatment.
