Investigating The Biggest DISAPPOINTMENTS Of The Season...

This is just the latest example of Jordan Poole driving the Wizards insane.
Dude contemplated shooting this shot, leaving the bench absolutely stunned.
Washington hoped that his 20 points per game on a championship team playing with superstars would only increase now that heâd have complete freedom being the main guy.
Instead, look at the insane regression, a huge step backward as Washington became the worst team in the league.
According to ESPN's Bobby Marks "a lot of teams" have said that Poole's contract is "one of the worst deals in the NBA right now.
Things got so bad that Jordan went from the supposed top gun on the team, to being yanked out of the starting lineup. I donât remember if Iâve seen that type of turnaround in like half a season.
Now this is where things get interesting. In 8 games off the bench his numbers have been great.
Look at the improvement across the board. This is probably what the team expected from him.
And itâs gonna be interesting what happens with his role, if heâs able to keep this up.
Next up has to be the third pick in the draft Scoot Henderson. Seriously, have you heard anything about him? With all the hype during the draft about how he and Wemby are going to be neck and neck, and with all the freedom in the world playing on a rebuilding team like the Blazers, these numbers are an absolute debacle.
13 points on 37 and a half percent from the field. 37, Thatâs a horrific efficiency.
Heâs recently made history but not in a good way.
Back in January, OKC beat Portland by a staggering 62 points, and in a game that was supposed to be a head to head matchup between Scoot and Chet, Henderson finished with the second worst plus minus in NBA history with -56 in that game.
I sure hope that he can turn things around because itâs not looking too good for him right now.
And speaking of right now, Terry Rozier has been nothing short of disappointing ever since he came to Miami at the trade deadline.
The Heat brought him to boost the offense with his 23 points per game that he had in Charlotte, but Rozier slipped almost 10 points in production. And whatâs even worse is his horrible drop in percentages. From 46% from the field and 36 from downtown, all the way down to 39% and 26 and a half in Miami.
Terry is definitely having trouble adjusting to the Heat culture it seems, but fortunately for him, the team doesnât really feel the effects of that.
They are 8-2 in the last 10 games and have climbed all the way to the 6 spot, just a game and a half away from getting home court advantage.
And weâve seen Heat players rising in the playoffs so Iâm suspecting that Scary Terry will rise to the occasion as well when the time comes.
Now, if you ask Nets fans, theyâll tell you that Mikal Bridges has been a disappointment this season.
Last year he went from 17 points in Phoenix, to 26 in Brooklyn after the trade. And everyone thought that this is the player he is, so his 21 points this year seem like a huge 5 point drop. But I feel like those 27 Nets games last season were more of an anomaly, rather than something to base your expectations around.
To me his role is a number 2 or a number 3 guy on a championship team. Mikal is not an offensive force that can consistently lead a team.
Sure, he can have great games, even months of being extremely productive, but at his core, Bridges is a great 2 way role player and not an offensive superstar.
Still, with all the attention on him as he became the guy in Brooklyn, I have to include Mikal in this list.
And I also have to include a few guys that ended up being a disappointment but not at their fault.
The Phoenix Suns are definitely saying this is not what we paid for, as Beal is barely playing this season, and when he is, it doesnât look convincing and the team overall is struggling, being just half a game out of the play in.
Also, itâs clear that Middleton hasnât been the same and is battling injuries ever since last year.
Admittedly heâs always been injury prone but now itâs really impacting his consistency and production, so heâs only at under 15 points this season.
And similar thing with Garland. Heâs had some nasty injuries this year including a broken jaw. Truly uncomfortable situations to have to deal with and as a result his numbers have suffered. But similar to Rozier, heâs fortunate that the Cavs have been killing it this year.
Then, I could also talk about Zion who was supposed to be the future of the league, but his inability to stay healthy, his lack of work ethic and reluctance to eat clean and take care of his body have prevented him of becoming an unstoppable force, so by default his 22 5 and 5 seem kind of underwhelming.
Iâm sure that Iâm missing someone and Iâm sure youâll let me know in the comments, but in the meantime I gotta mention a player whoâs absolutely enjoying his life right now.
