These Are The CONSEQUENCES When You PROVOKE Nikola Jokic...

This is what happens when Nikola Jokic gets provoked. The consequences are bad. Look at these numbers.
The last 4 games, Jokic is 39 out of 44 from the field. What?! The guy really missed only 5 shots in his last 130 minutes on the court. Thatâs an outrageous 88 and a half per cent on 11 field goal attempts. Unbelievable.
Remember how everyone got so loud when he had just 2 games of bad shooting?
A few weeks ago he had back to back games of 9 for 32 against the Clippers and 9 for 26 against the Rockets.
And yeah it looked bad mainly because he got a lot of shots up, which is uncharacteristic, and to have such bad efficiency was pretty surprising. But I was adamant that this is nothing to worry about. So, how does he respond to that? By lighting the league on fire.
The first of that crazy 4 game stretch which was against Memphis, Jokic had 26 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, so a triple double while shooting a perfect 11 for 11 from the field and 3 for 3 from the foul line.
There have only been 5 times where a player got this type of a perfect triple double in NBA history. And Nikola has 2 of those.
When heâs on the floor the Nuggets are beating their opponents by 12.6 points, and when heâs not, itâs -9.7. This 22 point turnaround is the biggest plus minus differential in the league.
Weâre talking about a championship team with other great players, and simply by Jokic going to the bench, it seems like the Nuggets canât function. Thatâs how valuable he is.
Despite all of that greatness, itâs hilarious to me how casual he is with all of this. I mean, look at him walking out to what ended up being the game winner. The guy was half asleep on the final possession. This is hysterical.
But he means serious business. Just watch what he said in the postgame interview.
Boy that was a great answer, I love that attitude. And then, in typical Jokic fashion, he explained precisely, in detail how heâs able to go on such a stretch for the last 4 games.
Yeah this is some advanced analytics talk here guys. You gotta love Nikola.
Denver is on a scary run at the moment winning 11 out of their last 13 games. And with the next 3 being against Orlando, Detroit and Utah, I have a feeling that things are only gonna get better for them.
This is a good time to remind you that the lazy walk that Jokic has right now- heâs had that his whole life. This is him in Serbia as a kid, and back then he was in such bad shape that coaches begged him to stop eating. He couldnât even survive the training sessions with his team so coaches had him working out on the sidelines by himself. Struggling with all of this, he actually quit basketball at age 14. There are a bunch of crazy stories in this mini documentary that I made about him during the summer so you gotta check it out right here. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
