Footage of protests in Sydney, Australia over controversial new laws that will prevent alcohol being purchased after 10pm.

The video, captured in the city centre, shows the peaceful protests involving street performances and speeches, while participants are interviewed about the issue.

"This video is what the people of sydney are really like, peaceful and happy.

They jus want their right to do as they choose, drink when they want, and not be controlled.

I think the whole world wants to not be controlled! This is my perspective on the Keep Sydney Open rally.

Sydney's government have made lockout laws preventing the public from buying alcohol from bottle shops after 10pm.

You cant enter a club and some bars after 130am and those bars and clubs cant serve alcohol after 230 am.

Pretty much every one is suffering because some people have anger and hate in them and want to hurt others. Which is a tiny percent of Sydney," the filmer wrote online.
