Woman with rare condition can only eat 2 FOODS due to allergic reactions
A woman with mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) has revealed she can only eat two types of food thanks to allergic reactions.
Caroline Cray has shared her journey with MCAS and her followers on TikTok were intrigued when she made a video explaining she can only eat hypoallergenic formula and oatmeal.
"I have a condition called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome which causes me to have allergic reactions to a bunch of foods. Because of this, I am on a super limited diet of hypoallergenic formula and oatmeal," Cray told Newsflare.
In the video, Cray films as she makes herself a snack using the formula and oatmeal. She explains that the formula is hypoallergenic and is made from amino acids meaning her body doesn't have to break down the proteins.
"The formula is vanilla flavoured, thank God, otherwise this would taste like cardboard," she tells her viewers.
Cray also explains that she has three cups of the mixture for breakfast, two for lunch, and three for dinner.
Her TikTok viewers were intrigued by her diet. "how did you figure out these are the only two foods you can eat?" One commenter asked.
"This is so sad, sometimes food is the best part of my day. Take care love," another said.
One mother commented: "Thanks for sharing the formula. I’ll have my son try it. He has MCAS and no safe foods."
