21-year-old detained after Molotov cocktail incident at St. Petersburg polling station
On March 15, 2024, in St. Petersburg, Russia, a 21-year-old woman was apprehended after she threw a Molotov cocktail onto the porch of a school where voting was taking place. The incident, which occurred around 3:00 PM near school No. 358 in the Moskovsky district, targeted a poster displaying election information. Eyewitnesses recounted that initially, the bottle did not ignite, but upon a second attempt, a fire erupted. The assailant attempted to flee but was restrained by bystanders and subsequently detained by law enforcement officers. Investigative procedures are currently underway at the scene, according to statements from authorities on site.
