Tragedy struck northern India's Uttar Pradesh after a roof of a newly-constructed resort collapsed, leaving two labourers dead and three injured.

This incident happened in Bahraich district of the state on March 15.

Visuals showed the SDRF officials working hard to rescue the labourers who were trapped underneath the rods and debris of the roof. There was devastation all around as a result of this roof collapse and the SDRF officials worked hard to bring out the labourers stuck underneath. They were seen bringing out a body of one of the labourers and taking it away to safety with the help of a stretcher. They were also seen helping one labourer come out from underneath the rubble. The whole area was lit up and the rescue operation ran extensively. According to a report, two labourers, who were identified as Saleem and Jogesh, aged 29 and 24 respectively, were declared dead after they were rushed to the hospital. A total of eleven labourers were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The cops have launched an investigation and a case has also been registered against the contractor of the project and owner of the resort.
