Thousands gather to celebrate St. Patrick's Day Parade in Belfast

Thousands turned out for the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK on March 17.

Participants in the parade assembled at City Hall and at 1:30 p.m. set off along Chichester Street, Victoria Street, High Street, Castle Place and Donegall Place, returning to City Hall.

The parade displayed a dazzling display of costumes, music and dance, allowing many young people to display their creative flair and ingenuity as it weaved through the city centre.

At one point, while in Victoria Street, the parade was briefly interrupted while two search and rescue vehicles exited the area.
