At around 9 a.m. on March 15th, footage surfaced showing seats inside a carriage of the Guizhou Metro Line 3 at Huaguoyuan Station filled with free packages of spicy chicken, sparking a frenzy among commuters. Some citizens claimed they were late for work due to being unable to board the train, questioning the subway operator and the brand for utilizing public resources.

The brand behind the subway's spicy chicken giveaway responded, stating that they had originally planned a promotional event for Consumer Rights Day on March 15th but were overwhelmed by the turnout. They apologized for the inconvenience caused to commuters during the rush hour.

The Guizhou Metro Line 3 operator stated that they had prepared to distribute 200 free portions of spicy chicken and had activated emergency plans before the event. They pledged to avoid similar promotional activities during peak commuting hours in the future.

The video was provided with permission from local media.
