Animal rescuers hoist goat from 15ft-deep well
Animal rescuers hoisted a goat from 15ft-deep well in Thailand.
Volunteers from the Pitakkan Foundation of Kanjanaburi were notified that the farm animal had fallen into the well at the Surasee Military Camp in Kanchanaburi province on February 29.
Upon arriving at the scene, they heard the hapless animal bleating from inside the concrete shaft.
They rappelled down the well and winched the drenched goat that had been swimming in the pool. The operation took 30 minutes.
Farmers said the well was used to water crops and provide drinking water for animals. They added the goat, which was allowed to graze and roam outside, may have been playing when it fell into the well.
