A goat kid was born with two eyes in one socket in the Philippines.

The Cyclops-like creature was born with two healthy siblings, but farmer Edralina Laoang was baffled when she saw the last one to come out of the breeder, who had a deformed face in Ilocos Norte province.

Footage shows the newborn goat with two eyeballs crammed in a single cavity as it played in the pen outside Edralina's house on March 6.

Its tongue protruded out of its nostrils, which also served as its mouth, where it was bottle-fed milk. It could move around but was very slow and had weak limbs.

An officer from the provincial veterinary office who visited the animal said: ‘There was a problem in its development while still inside the womb. These cases have a low chance of survival.'

The kid is believed to have Cyclopia, a rare congenital disorder that can affect goats and some other mammals, including humans. It is characterized by the failure of the two orbital sockets to properly separate during embryonic development, resulting in a single central eye socket and a partially or completely merged eye.
