STORYLINE:
In the Taigu District of the city of Jinzhong, north China's Shanxi Province, tall and bright vegetable greenhouses standing next to each other have witnessed the introduction of modern science and technology, which has made agriculture more efficient and effectively improved production methods.
In December 2019, China approved two national agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zones to promote high-quality development of agriculture.
One of the demonstration zones is located in the Taigu District.
Here, one agricultural technician can remotely control irrigation and fertilization in a 5,000-square-meter strawberry greenhouse using a mobile phone.
With the help of modern technology, the greenhouses at the demonstration zone can produce strawberries all year around, with the output about 1.5 times that of using the traditional planting method.
