In a significant development in the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully destroyed a crucial underground tunnel route in the northern part of the region. The operation was carried out by the engineering forces of the 162nd Division in collaboration with the Yahalom Unit.

The tunnel, which was over two and a half kilometers long, served as a key transportation route for militants, weapons, and supplies between the northern and southern Gaza Strip. The destruction of this tunnel is a major setback for terrorist organizations operating in the area, as it disrupted their ability to move undetected and carry out attacks.

Heavy machinery and explosives were used to collapse the tunnel, rendering it unusable.
