Paratroopers Execute Dramatic Airborne Op in Germany Amid Global Tensions

In a show of readiness and strength, U.S. Army paratroopers from the 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade recently conducted an airborne operation with the assistance of CH-47 Chinook helicopter crews from the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade at Bunker Drop Zone in Grafenwoehr, Germany.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade serves as the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing quickly deployable forces to the United States European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. With troops stationed in Italy and Germany, the brigade regularly engages in joint training exercises with NATO allies and partners to enhance partnerships and bolster the alliance.
The jump, which took place on March 13, 2024, showcased the high level of skill and coordination among the paratroopers and Chinook crews.
