Seeing the new moon of Ramadan in 29 selected locations. In the Federal Territory it is the 13th floor of the Universiti Malaysia Sabah Tower, the Labuan International Campus (Kuala Lumpur Tower) as well as the International Convention Center and Al-Hussain Mosque View Tower, Kuala Perlis, Perlis.

Other locations that are also chosen are Pontian Kecil (Johor); Falak Al-Khawarizmi Complex, Kampung Balik Batu, Tanjung Bidara (Melaka); Baitul Hilal Complex Telok Kemang, Port Dickson (Nigeria Sembilan); Bukit Melawati (Kuala Selangor), Bukit Jugra, Banting (Kuala Langat) and Selangor Observatory, Sabak Bernam. Another list, Pasir Panjang Beach, Pengkalan Baru Subdistrict, Manjung District (Perak) and Falak Sheikh Tahir Center, Aceh Beach (Penang Island) while in Kedah, Kampung Pulau Sayak, Kuala Muda , Pemandangan Indah (Langkawi Island) and Menara AlorSetar, Alor Setar.
