UAE-Led WCK Delivers 115 Tons of Aid to Gaza Amidst IDF Patrols
This footage was filmed and produced 15 March 2024.
In a significant development on Friday, 15.03, a ship carrying 115 tons of food and water from the World Central Kitchen (WCK) organization made its way into the Gaza Strip's maritime space. The operation, led by the United Arab Emirates and coordinated with COGAT, was accompanied by IDF naval and ground forces to ensure security.
The humanitarian aid, consisting of 130 pallets of equipment, was unloaded and transferred to 12 WCK trucks for distribution in the northern Gaza Strip. This delivery is part of a wider humanitarian effort in the region, with the UAE taking the lead and Israel providing cooperation.
Before entering Gaza's waters, the ship and its cargo underwent rigorous security checks to ensure no threat to the area. The entry was carried out in accordance with an agreement with the civilian company involved, without affecting the maritime blockade in place.
The arrival of this humanitarian aid marks a positive step towards alleviating the dire situation in Gaza, where residents are in desperate need of assistance. The efforts of the WCK organization, along with the support of the UAE and cooperation with Israel, are commendable in providing much-needed relief to those in need.
