Three Las Vegas officers have been hailed as heroes after saving a woman from a fire in December. Officers Marcolini, Manzanedo, and Silva from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's South Central Area Command were presented with a heroism award by the Clark County Fire Department on March 14th.

The officers were finishing their shift when they noticed thick, black smoke in the area near Reno and Tamarus. Upon investigation, they discovered a second-floor apartment engulfed in flames. To their horror, they also spotted an elderly woman trapped just feet away from the fire.

Quickly springing into action, the officers grabbed a nearby dumpster and positioned it beneath the woman. With one officer scaling the dumpster, they were able to successfully guide the woman to safety.

The LVMPD commended the officers for their bravery, stating, "We are beyond proud of these officers for their quick thinking and even faster action to work as a team and save this woman."

The heroic actions of Officers Marcolini, Manzanedo, and Silva serve as a reminder of the selflessness and dedication that law enforcement officers demonstrate every day.
