The Tampa Police Department recently responded to a potentially dangerous situation at a residence in the city. Squad 107 and Shift Commander Lt. Zerance sprang into action after receiving a call about a man experiencing a mental health episode and threatening his family.

Working with Tampa Fire Rescue, Lt. Zerance and the squad were able to safely evacuate the family from the home. The individual in crisis was also removed from the residence without incident and transported to a nearby facility for further evaluation.

The quick and coordinated response from law enforcement and first responders undoubtedly prevented a potentially tragic outcome. Lt. Zerance's leadership and the teamwork displayed by Squad 107 are a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the Tampa Police Department.
